Here is my calender. Each column is a month. The days are determined on the packages that contain coffee. So costumers will consume one coffee each day. The slogan is Start the day with fiskos coffees. So the coffees planned to be consumed each morning.

In this blog post i will share the mile stone that i have achieved in 301.

Color Choosing Process in Design

This week we suppose to choose our brand’s colors. Trust me it is a very hard work to do.First of all we are not really experienced on color and the taste debate…

I have found some developed methods that might be helpful for this process. Hope everyone can enjoy this and take something out of it.

  • Have a positive meaning in your industry — It means you have to find colors that can make us feel comfortable and makes you trustworthy.  The example below might be cheesy but true indeed.

For example, red is a great color for a flower company, since it is the color of roses, but it is a poor color choice for a health care professional, because of the association with blood.

  • Reflect the emotion of the experience —  It means you have to choose the matching color by examining the tempo of the job or its enviorement.

If you have a high-energy business, consider using bright, clear colors. If your services are more complex, consider choosing “complex” colors, like sage green, slate blue, maroon, or another muted tone that speaks of the intricacies of your work.

  • You like — Since the logo and the identity is going to be your product you should like it!

You live with this logo! and look at it often, so pick colors that excite you. Your color palette will begin to speak to your potential clients about who you are and the way you work.

  • You wear — Include uniforms for employees that mirror your logo design.
  • Match or complement each other —Eye-catching color palettes that are made up of colors that match or complement each other will be more pleasant for your customers to look at. It means that they are going to be in harmony and this will bring success!
  • Contrast each other—You will save money if you use a limited color palette (one or two colors) in your printed materials, so choose colors for your logo that contrast each other. That way, you can design your materials in just a few colors, but they’ll still be legible and eye-catching. I think this is very important. As our teachers say use maximum 3 colors. If you do so your colors will be recognized and you will get more chances to create a succesful harmony.

Process #3

I finally decided what brand to go with.

“fiskos”

Here there are the logos for the second week. Tried to illustrate a coffee bean, smoke for the letter ‘i’.

Process #2

Choosing the brand

We have end up with Hamam-i zade, fiskos, zeplin, gidişat.

I was between gidişat and fiskos so i tried to work on both. Here my suggested logos for fiskos and gidişat:
